Francisco Salas, painter. Nascent Chile, on November 3, 1963. He earned his Bachelor of Arts School of the University of Concepcion, Chile. Between 1996 - 1997 involved in Mnchen Kunst Akademie, Germany, as guest artist of the class of Professor Juergen Reipka. Travel to Mexico, where he entered the Academia de San Carlos de la UNAM, Mexico City. In 1998 he received a scholarship from the Mexican government for his Master in Visual Arts with painting at the UNAM orientation. The experiences obtained in each of the places he has lived have shaped and defined its artistic expression. Since its inception, the painting expresses the strength and indomitable TELRIC rooted in the rugged geography of Chile, the period of Germany is characterized by strong absorption, is a period where he meditates on the origins and focuses on the search for core values that direct it to the ancestral, investigates the meaning and significance of life and death, during his stay in Mexico draws on everything sounds good on this subject relationship, literature, art and crafts, shapes, places, flavors, colors, mostly hits him the experience of religious syncretism of Mexican culture and the inescapable connection with the ancestral. He currently lives and works in Santiago de Chile, develops plastic work in various techniques like oil painting, acrylic, watercolor, printmaking and sculpture.
